Fresh & Frozen Holiday Turkeys!

WHEN: Fresh turkey pre-orders now through November 17

WHAT: Each year during the holiday season, we work hard to source the best turkeys possible for your family feasts! This year, we're offering both fresh and frozen turkeys. Fresh turkeys are available via pre-order, and frozen turkeys will be available in the store starting in November. Frozen turkey orders are due by November 17. Please call or see a cashier to pre-order your turkey. Availability is limited, so order soon!
  • Pre-order our fresh local turkeys, farm-raised in the Amish tradition by Henry at Old Home Place in La Grange, IN. His birds are fed only non-GMO feed, roam freely on the farm, and are only $3.29/lb! Fresh turkeys require a $20 nonrefundable deposit.
  • Our frozen turkeys come from Plainville Farms in New York. These birds are antibiotic-free and perfect for travelling to your holiday feast destination! Pick one up in the store for $2.49/lb starting in November.

PFC's 100-Mile Market

WHEN: Wednesday, October 15, from 3pm until 7pm

WHAT:  Join us for the 100-Mile Market every Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm, May through October! All food sold at this market is required to be grown or produced within 100 miles of Kalamazoo. 

 

We accept Bridge Cards at the market, and we'll be participating again in the Double Up Food Bucks! SNAP benefits customers, bring your Bridge Card to the market to get your SNAP tokens. In June, SNAP benefits will be matched up to $20 for fresh Michigan-grown fruits and veggies! That's $20 for free!

100-Mile Market Co-optoberfest!

WHAT: Get ready for Kalamazoo's most delicious Halloween party, Co-optoberfest! It’ll be a celebration of the end of the harvest season, with a family-friendly, night market vibe.

 

Festivities will include trick-or-treating and other kids' activities, an all-ages costume contest (with celebrity judges!), beer sampling with our new neighbor Arcadia Ales, free bike valet courtesy of I.D.E.A. Association, and of course, all the best local food producers! Be there!

PFC Board Meeting

WHEN: Monday, November 3 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm 

 

WHERE: 525 E. Kalamazoo Ave, our office building

 

WHAT: Join our Board of Directors and participate in the governance of your Co-op! 

The PFC Board will not be meeting in September because of the holiday. We'll resume regular meetings in October.

The Board normally meets the first Monday of each month. Our meetings are open to the public and all owners and community members are encouraged to attend. For more information visit the Board of Directors page.
