100-Mile Market: Kzoo's only all-local farmers market!

WHEN: Wednesdays 3pm until 7pm, May - October

WHAT:  Join us for the 100-Mile Market every Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm, May through October! All food sold at this market is required to be grown or produced within 100 miles of Kalamazoo. 


We accept Bridge Cards at the market, and we'll be participating again in the Double Up Food Bucks program! SNAP benefits customers, bring your Bridge Card to the market to get your SNAP tokens. In June, SNAP benefits will be matched up to $20 for fresh Michigan-grown fruits and veggies! That's $20 for free!

Kalamazoo Farmers Market!

WHAT: People's Food Co-op is proud to manage the Kalamazoo Farmers Market! Our purpose is to connect customers and market businesses through honest relationships and to support community and local economies through a thriving market culture.

WHAT: We're celebrating National Bulk Foods Week and appreciating you, our Owners, during one very special Owner Appreciation Days. You'll find great deals on a huge variety of bulk foods, as well as the Owner Specials throughout the store you've come to expect.


 As always, Co-op Owners enjoy extra Owner Specials during OAD. And don't forget to bring in your postcard (coming in the mail) to receive 10% off (non-sale items) of one order during the period.

Kalamazoo Cooperative Business Week

WHEN: Sunday, October 11 - Saturday, October 17


WHAT: As a part of the newly formed Kalamazoo Cooperative Business Association, PFC is proud to announce Kalamazoo Cooperative Business Week! 


The Kalamazoo City Commission has approved a proclamation annoucing October 11-17, 2015, as Cooperative Busines Week. The commission will officially issue the proclamation at the October 5 city commission meeting, and People's will be there to celebrate.


We believe that cooperative business is a better way to generate community wealth through accountabile means. Cooperative businesses are thriving in Kalamazoo, providing housing, financial services, food, and more. Help commemorate this important milestone for co-ops in Kalamazoo by joining your local credit union, shopping at People's, or learning more about Kalamazoo's cooperative housing options for all ages and lifestyles. We are stronger together!

Volunteer Orientation

WHAT: Volunteers are what make co-ops great, and we believe we've got some of the best volunteers in the country!  If you've applied to volunteer at People's, you'll first need to attend an orientation session, where we'll make sure you have everything you need to join our all-star team.  Please RSVP with our volunteer coordinator today!

Cooking Class: Apples Apples Apples!

WHEN: Tuesday, October 27, 6:30-8:00pm


WHERE: Can-Do Kitchen

WHAT: It’s apple season! We’re going to compare apples to apples during this class. We will sample different varieties, learn which apples are best suited for different purposes, and make and eat a delicious apple tart.

All of our fun, interactive cooking classes! Class registration is $25 per adult, kids 12-17 come free with adult. And come hungry! In our classes, you’ll always eat well. Space is limited, so please sign up today with a friendly co-op cashier.


PFC Board Meeting

WHAT: Join our Board of Directors and participate in the governance of your Co-op!
